Another accuser, which is what one would expect if he had a penchant for this behavior. Sorry to see him go down this way, but glad to see someone finally go public.
“The woman, who will be the first to go public on Monday, sought Cain’s help with an employment issue and was allegedly sexually harassed by him. Allred and her client will discuss, in detail, what she alleges occurred with Cain.”
And the dismissal of this woman’s claim for no other reason than because she is represented by Allred in 3, 2, 1 …
Two things for certain are to come from this:
Cain will take in more money.
Cain will rise in the polls.
Once again, you are right on top of this stuff (emphasis added):

Washington, DC - Ipsos’ latest poll, carried out on behalf of Thomson Reuters and published today, shows that the allegations of sexual harassment have indeed impacted on Herman Cain’s ratings. In particular, his favorability ratings have dropped since last week, especially among Republicans: last week, 66% of Republican registered voters had a favorable opinion of Cain, and this week that number has dropped 9 points to 57%. Among all registered voters, Cain’s favorability has declined 5 points, from 37% to 32%.
In addition, the poll finds:
Over 80% of our respondents have heard of the Cain harassment scandal. Republicans are the most aware (88%) and Independents the least (64%) A majority of respondents (53%) believe the allegations are true. Republicans are least likely to believe they are true (39%). Four in ten (44%) respondents say this issue has made them less favorable towards Herman Cain. One in three Republicans (35%) say this issue has made them less favorable towards Cain.
Yeah, I’m sure that is why even ABC news is calling him “Teflon Cain.”
“And notably, the GOP presidential contender’s poll numbers haven’t budged. In fact, the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll – conducted in the days after the harassment allegations surfaced – shows Mr. Cain’s numbers among Republicans have risen over the past month. He is now at 23 percent, versus 24 percent for his top rival, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
A month ago, the ABC/Post poll had Cain at 17 percent and Mr. Romney at 25 percent.”
The polls lag true sentiment by a couple weeks, and I think that if this latest woman sounds the least bit credible, many on the right will drop Cain due to fears that he will not be electable in the general.

The latest poll shows a significant drop. Suck it up, sister, and admit yet another prognostication error on your part.

I don’t know. The current hardcore side of the GOP would probably nominate Cain just to give a middle finger to the left, even if it would cost them the actual election. It’s bizarre.

God knows the accusation with the actual people coming forward and money changing hands publicly hurt Clinton.
A minor correction. I am not giving him a pass but this is typical of how these things go no matter who the focus is on. So far we have no one except an ambulance chaser coming out with vague accusations with nothing to back them up other than some money changed hands and the “victim” was satisfied enough to sign a confidentiality agreement
Possibly. Feel free to educate me on the issue. Or I will be forced to edit this post to a “your mom is clueless!” so that our discourse is on the same level.
I don’t think they are clueless as much as they are frustrated. When was the last time the hard core right had a candidate they liked? 1980 with Reagan? That’s a long time to go underrepresented.
