Here comes Bjorn!

He just passed Al-Sultan. Within a few seconds he opened up a 20 meter gap.

and yeah he’s riding P3SL

Sweet show for CERVELO - Bjorn & Brian Rhodes on P3SLs + Simon on SOLOIST…

The dude is F’n nutz!

bjorn is in 3rd now…

Something’s not working for Bjorn now… could be the heat getting to him.

Where the hell is he? I just got home and was surprised to see Stadler in front instead of Bjorn.

I am surprised to see Stadler way in front like last year when he did the whole ride on his own and then got caught in the first 10k of the run. You would think he would have learned his lesson.

I just heard that Van Lierde is 24 min back!!! WTF!! and Lori (stung by a bee) is super far back too.

Fuhr and Bentley 7 minutes back from Natascha

At insidetri.com’s 65 mile spotter there is no mention of Bjorn up front or in the chase group. Any news ?

It’s been quite a while since the last update regarding Mr. A!

He blew by everybody in the first 20 miles of the ride, then fell back in 3rd and no signs of him anymore…

OK, no splits from Bjorn at the second and third bike splits on Ironmanlive, and one of my training buddies racing 40-44 went thru the second check at 2:48, so I suspect something is up…could it be mechanical ?

His left foot acted up… and the heat…

He said he had problems with it in training and was trying to work it out. To bad, hoping Bjorn will give us more detail on what happened when he gets back online.

Unfortunately I had to pull out because of some problems with my left foot that I’ve had for about 4 months. Thought it was over after switching shoes but today it got really bad already after about 5-10k. I feel bad about quitting but I’ve been riding with that for too long now and simply couldn’t take it anymore.

Looks to be an interesting race here today. Normann looked very impressive and rode by himself without being sheltered in the bunch so I’m hoping he can hold on during the run. Still a long way to go for everyone though, lots of things can still happen…

Nice race, it is too ad about your foot. Hopefully Normann can pull it off for all the cyclists.

hopefully you’ll heal up ok and be bacl 100%. you’re going to be huge factor in all the events you do next year. always a pleasure watching you race!

Bjorn, sorry for the bad luck was really looking froward to seeing you out there with Stadler. I mean, ahead of Stadler.

Make sure you are back next year!!!

I like your signature. In fact, it makes Francois’ sig even more right…

Sorry about the foot, but even still you did a great job Bjorn. We were cheering for you here

Bjorn, good plan to take care of yourself first. We’ll be looking forward to the Bjorn train coming into T2 in sub 4:30 next October !

ouch!

He stopped using those pedals long ago, I read…
