Hepatitis A in San Diego

I was just reading the thread about otter attacks in fresh water, and thought about this hazard that I recently read about in the San Diego Union-Tribune.

80% of water samples taken at Imperial Beach pier tested positive for Hepatitis A. I’ll be going to the doctor to get vaccinated for sure. Never knew it was so bad, and I doubt any girlfriend would accept such an innocent explanation…

Well, Imperial Beach is often polluted by the Tijuana Slough, a toxic river that flows right through TJ along the border and flows straight into the Pacific, so no surprise there!
