I have a buddy selling a 1980s Pinnerelo with a mix of campy parts. Some very sexy nuvo record. I would say it is in fair to good shape. New rims good tires 5 or 6 speed . It fit me great and is a gas to ride .How much is it worth ? Is $300. a good deal. Thanks for the help

Although I’d love to take it off your hands for $300, I’d feel guilty not cluing you in to the underground Campy collectors on Ebay. Strip your bike and sell each component seperately. You should fetch a much better price. The freewheels (if not toast) will probably attract the most attention ($100-300).

$300 is fine. Make sure the frame doesn’t show signs of rust near the Bottom bracket area. They were notorious for holding water in that area.
If you buy it, it probably is worth spraying a rust inhibitor in the frame. JP Weigel make some or some guys (me) use linseed oil.
As another poster said, Campy old school is worth money so selling it for some extra money is always an option but I would simply ride it and have fun with it. Plus, your mechanics at the shop you visit will love working on it if they aren’t too young.

I’d pay $300USD for an 80’s vintage Pinarello that fit me w/ a mixed Campy gruppo. Some would pay that much just for the Nuvo Record bits.
