I am 6’3" about 192-197 with a 33-34 waist. I understand how the bib sizing works and I would probably be in an XL or XLG. How about the non-bib shorts (specifically the H FI. Uno_s5)? Do I still order that same size? I am concerned that such sizing would be too big on my waist as I normally wear a size Large in most brand shorts.
normally wear a size Large in most brand shorts.
Then I’d guess XL Assos. Up one size is typical, but make sure you can return/exchange them.
Size exactly like you’d size the bibs. The shorts are pretty much identical from the waist down.
The guide is rubbish, though - you don’t size anything that’s supposed to fit tight by your height (and I worked for Assos - height has nothing to do with size, I’m 6’2" and wear Small). I’d lean towards the L in your case, maybe XL if the your weight is in your legs.
Thanks for the thoughts… I bought the XL and am hoping it works out… But bought from a retailer so I could exchange just in case.
So the XL fits decent but seems a little loose in the waist, especially with the odd waist band . If I go down a size, will the waist be smaller like it would for shorts at every other company?
Yes, width is pretty much the main difference between sizes. If it’s loose at all, size down.
I’m a 30" waist and the small size fits well for me, so I’m sure the L will fit nicely for you.
