HELP w/ p2k

Will I screw up my drop outs if I file them out a little to allow a new wheel to slide in more easily? I bought a Renn disc and it is really hard to get it to slide all the way in on my p2k. The set screws are in all the way, so that is not an issue. The disc slides in great on my brothers Blade, so I know the issue is with my bike. Can anyone help? Please! Thanks.

I had the same problem with my P2K. I filed them down and it worked perfectly. Just be sure to remove the same amount of aluminum from both sides. You shouldn’t have to take that much off.

Unusual. We have not experienced this. In any event, I have done it before on other brands of bikes.

Proceed with care and caution. Best of luck.

I had the same problem with my P2K and my rear Zipp 404. At an expo I asked Bill from Zipp about it and he said it’s not unusual with Cervelos because of the rear drop out…err…slideout design. A flat file did the trick for me.

Thanks for the advice, I am new to the sport and to using a forum. This forum is such a great place to learn and get help, I wish I would have found this a long time ago. THANKS!
