if you belong to a tri club, why don’t you stick it on our database? if you manage a tri club, best you do it. otherwise, slowtwitch readers are going to take matters into their own hands ![]()
I keep getting an error!
clm
i’m not getting an error. what do you do that returns an error?
Dan,
If I belong to a tri club do I have the right to sign that tri club up to a data base without asking the running members(board).
my response is the same whether it’s a race, a club, a retailer, or any relevant group. my responsibility is to those who read slowtwitch. if a race director is too preoccupied to list his race, it’ll get listed anyway, because slowtwitchers need available to them knowledge of the full suite of goods and services available.
one would think that RDs, retail stores, tri clubs, would be diligent and enterprising. most are, some are not. either way, i’m confident slowtwitchers will find comprehensive lists whenever we offer a database.

How about allowing non-US clubs in?
I can add a location “outside of North America.” would that be useful? I hate to lump, for example, France in with Australia, but it just becomes overwhelming if I don’t.
I’ll enter my club (of which I’m president) if you have a section “outside of North America”.
But I would understand if you (and Dan) decide against it (being a north american triathlon web-site first and foremost).
Dan, we’re a new club and don’t quite have a website up and running yet but it won’t let me add our club without it.

Since there appears to be a number of people non-resident in the US (would be interesting to see how many are registered from outside the US) using this site it might be useful to have the ability to include non-US clubs. The information could be useful to those who travel overseas too.
As for the country, as long as there is the ability to identify the country somewhere in the listing, it’s irrelevant where. Currently there is neither the option to choose a country, or the ability to exclude the state.
