Are you wearing your bib short suspenders OVER your jersey?

Neither picture is really at a good angle to be able to tell anything.

btw that completes my knowledge of bike fitting. but if you can get a side on shot with the side to the camera pedal at 6 oclock the fit gurus might be able to help more.

What I want to know is, how is that poor bike not collapsing under all that weight!!

yikes - no need to ask for blunt and honest here!

" Are you wearing your bib short suspenders OVER your jersey?"

let’s examine this for a minute. if you want to wear a top in which you’ll also run, but that might then be flappy on the bike, maybe this isn’t such a bad routine. you wear your bib under your wetsuit, and over that top, you finish the bike, pull off your bib to reveal your tri shorts or briefs or jammers underneath, and off you go. i can see that.

This is perfect body position–for the buffet table.

His nose position–huge and extended–is excellent for maximum oxygen intake.

His bike position is perfect for his next quick transition–curling up in the fetal position and crying before the run.

I see your point. I’d be worried that the bike bib would inhibit the use of my back pockets, which I’d probably need to use. If I was going to go this route, I wouldn’t wear anything underneath as it would get warm down there with all those layers, and I’d just change in to proper run shorts in transition.

Nevertheless, riding 112 miles on the nose of an under-padded saddle, shielded only by a piece of 3mm cloth, is, I believe a rite of passage.

In all seriousness: in both pictures you’re chocking up on your aerobars. As though you want the bars higher, extensions shorter, something…Maybe everything is fine but you’re tired of riding the nose of the saddle at this point in the race.

The red bike doesn’t match the yellow shoes that do match the yellow helmet but don’t match the outfit. There’s no consistency here. How can you expect to be the king of posers if you don’t match.
Why wouldn’t you wear the banana suit too?
Mike

Do you still have this wheelset or have they cracked due to the unusual amount of force applied?

I’m starting to think this is more of a “look at me on my bike” thread, rather than a “I need help with my position” thread. Do you have any photos in which we can actually see your position?

Thanks,
Brian

Ok, now I’m convinced it’s a “look at me” thread.

That Orca suit, though, does look pretty good.

No it doesn’t. But the name Orca sure does ‘fit’ in this situation.

My brotha, my friend, my buddy, … I bet you are carrying some tasty home made “cuban power bars” on your jersey pockets. LOL!!!
