I have been testing different carbon rimmed race wheels so I installed some carbon brake pads, I went to put my old pads back on today for my training wheels and I have stripped the inside of the little screw that holds one of the rear pads in place. Anybody dealt with this or have any suggestions for getting this damn thing out?? Also, how would I replace it?? Thanks
Shimano pads come with screws (at least the DA Carbon pads do). To get it out? drill it out (carefully) or use a reverse threaded tap. Or, take it to your LBS, they will have one if you don’t.

when the threads are stripped, it’s probably time and money-efficient to go to the LBS and let them do it. or, at least, that’s where i ended up in a similar situation. messing around with it neither brought about good results, nor brought out the best in me, alas…
