I am thinking of spending the July 4 weekend, around the Helen, GA area and do some training in the mountains, however, I will be by my self, and would like to join an organized ride or groups, can someone suggest a place to stay, that I can ride out from the location and do several rides in the area, and I was looking online but can not find any website with organized rides, I was thinking, it being July 4, there must be a century ride or something in the area…thanks

Helana, GA is the center of the NGA cycling universe. All of the major climbs are within a few miles and if you Google “Six GAp Century” you’ll be able to see them all.
Also if you’re there, you might as well take the 3.1 mile trip up Brasstown Bald.

There is a shop called Addiictive Cycles that you can call if they’re still open. They might know about riding groups, etc.
