Help me pick new Aero Bars

Just drove my car into the garage with the bike on the roof. So its finally time to get new aero bars. I have been using the Syntace C2 for the last 10 years. Although they have worked well for me in many IM races I sometimes wish I had more adjustablity options, while still having a light and solid bar. I do find myself pulling up on the midsection of the bar frequently and therefore think that I might like the Profile S-bends. However since I need a new bar this weekend for Santa Barbara, I am considering the carbon strike and possible buy some S bends (HED, Bontrager etc. ) to have some options to play with over the winter. I am using a profile bullhorn base bar. Any input would be appreciated. I am also considering to just buy a new C2.

Thx

Axel

I have a pair of like-new C2’s. Size medium. $100 including shipping. PM if you want pics or more details.

If you want new bars, I recommend the Ovals.

If you are not really intent on switching, you might want to check with Syntace and see if their crash replacement policy applies. I tweaked mine in a minor crash and they replaced them for about half price.

hey, see you in SB!

Axel, since you made no mention of budgetary constraints I’ll say that two of the guys that I train with have have 1 piece set ups that they recommend highly. One has the HED, the other the Easton Attack bar and they’re both very pleased. If you’re getting it for SBCT this weekend you may not have time to fine tune your position which is a strong case for simply getting another pair of C2’s (which I ride and have no problems with).

thx guys. I called Syntace. $70 for a new pair. So for now I’ll stay with the C2
