Help me pick my new bike -- triad sl or da3

Ok so I have been looking at either a 2012 Blue Triad SL or a Felt DA3, but would be open to other options as well

I would go SRAM Red on either of them and I already have wheels. Based purely on framesets, what would you do?

(assume that both will fit just fine)

i’d go blue triad sl.

Blue Triad SL. Get the regular paint job. Don’t get the “stealth” version. Only 200 are being made and I want one.

ETA: Remember with Blue you get 1 hour in the wind tunnel with every purchase.

Where have you been? Shiv Tri all the way. I think it’s the only bike being ridden in Kona this year.

I want Bockel’s bike. That paint job is bad-ass

If I were shopping today, I’d go try the Argon E116, hidden brakes and a cleaner chainstay compared to the Blue
.

I think I’m about to jump on the DA myself.

bluuuuu
.

They fit completely different, it is not going to be a choice between the two.
If one fits you well, the other will not.
Perhaps neither of them fit you.
Get a bike fitting.

Blue Triad will be taller stack/shorter reach (I believe) compared to Felt… which one fits better? Both great bikes… I am kinda partial to the Blue, but mainly because it would fit ME better!

I have a few athletes riding Blue, really like their bikes. So between the Felt and the Blue, the Blue would be my first choice.

In terms of fit, they are different. So consider that before buying.

You are not going to wait for the Cervelo P? to debut?

I think to some extent people too quickly say, “let fit decide” on this forum because bikes, aerobars, seatposts and stems have adjustability and different fit parameters. However, the Felt F series is a closer geometric match than the DA to Blue’s bikes. I’m really not exaggerating.

Personally I’d go Felt, even if the fits weren’t so drastically different.

the d-6 is pretty cool
.

Thanks for looking at Blue. We really appreciate that we are one of the bikes you are considering. However, i will tell you there is a big difference in the way the two bikes you have listed will fit.

As much as i would love for you to buy a Blue, i would rather you buy a bike that fits you…even if it isnt a Blue.

Thanks again for considering us.
