I recently bought a wireless PT 32 hole hub and wanted to know your thoughts on what wheel to install it in. I will be training and racing on this wheel and will be putting a wheelcover on it for races. Right now my choices are these (what LBS carries). All 32 spoke 700c. Thanks

It’s fairly light and the things are bomb-proof. I’ve been using the same set to train on for the last 5 years at 200pound and never have to mess with them.
American Classic Sprint 350’s are great for climbing and fast rides, everyday or race use. Responsive, smooth, and easy to spin up to speed.
The Sprint 350 rim is one of the lightest traditional aluminum road clincher rims in the world. Bicycling Magazine said the Sprint 350’s are the “lightest-per-dollar everyday wheelset we’ve ever found. They excel as race wheels too-not only because they spin up as quickly as you’d guess a featherweight would, but because the deepish rim wall gives just enough aero advantage for sustaining a long solo break at the threshold and despite its wispy weight and radial lacing up front (3-cross rear) the wheel doesn’t noodle in the corners.”

are these the actual weights you found in the shop or just what you googled? once you weigh the actual rims you will find that the real difference between a open pro and a RR 1.1 is something like 8g. The price difference on the other hand is significantly more than that. IME, a RR 1.1 rim tends to cost 40% more than an open pro.
get the open pros and used the $20 to buy some lightweight rim tape like Rox Ultralight Rim Strip. They will help with mounting of difficult tires too.
no way…call Hed right now and tell them you want a pair of Bastone C2s…they sell them for 125 each…can get the 32 for the rear and a 28 for the front
