I’m looking for anyone who imports Cassis (European blackcurrant) drinks… the ones I’ve had in Europe are Spa Cassis, Hero Cassis and Fanta Cassis, and if I recall correctly the former two are 100 percent fruit juice and carbonated natural spring water with no added sugars, caffeine, preservatives or artificial flavors. I think Fanta had added sugars which I don’t want.
I’ve seen it in Miami - I think at a little gourmet market that used to be by my house there… Sorry, I know that doesn’t help much. I never tried it, but I am a huge fan of black currant stuff - esp. tea.
Have you tried this one?

'Tis best.
Yum, that was exactly what I was thinking of. Good stuff.
maybe the same importer of the lambic beers?
I guess I should have specified that the Cassis I was looking for was:
“100 percent fruit juice and carbonated natural spring water with no added sugars, caffeine, preservatives or artificial flavors and no alcohol”

http://www.hollandsbest.com/drinks/drinks.php has the Hero and Fanta. They have a lemon/lime Spa soda. Googe rocks!

OH MAN… lots of other yummy Dutch stuff too!
I know. But if a big importer, they will likely import that stuff too, besides beer.

I thought they only made beer and the picture he posted WAS the beer, isn’t it?

why would you drink non-alcoholic cassis? I thought all cassis is alcoholic? It tasted like licorice to me, so one glass on a hot day is about all I can handle. Best I’ve ever drank was on the island of Corsica. I didn’t look at the name because it’s not a drink I would ever buy.

The blackcurrant is made into a variety of things including jams, juices, soft drinks, cordials and liqueurs. In Holland Cassis is a popular soft drink with a blackcurrant flavor that is not at all licorice-like in taste.
there’s a cassis ‘nectar’ out there that’s not bad. i’m not sure what makes this ‘nectar’ different than juice…
blanking on the brand name, though.
if you’re ever in paris, go to someplace that sells berthillon ice creams and sorbets, and get the cassis sorbet. it’s just amazing.
oh, and you can get very good casis (or rather, ‘black currant’) jam made by Les Confituriers de Haute Provence at some specialty shops in the u.s. a bit hoity-toity but really really good.

Cassis is also a key ingredient in a traditional (?) French beverage called kir, which I believe is a blend of cassis and champagne. yummmmmmmmmy.

No, that’s a kir royale. A kir is cassis and white wine. Both are good!

Ah, gotcha. I wish I had one of those right now!
