Help from bike fitters

Question keeps coming up for patients I see with hip impingement.

Need to be able to have hip angle (measured from shoulder to greater trochanter to knee at TDC) no more flexed than 90 deg.

Is this a possible or practical position on a tri/tt frame? If not, then road bike, or just not practical?

I know there are a lot of individual options, i.e. pedestal the bars, shorten cranks… just looking for some generalities.

thanks in advance

I will say that it is difficult.
