Help: 06 transition vs p2sl

I’m getting good offers on both these frames, I’ve hear many good things about cervelo and I know nothing about the transition elite. Any of you guys with experience with any of these frames? Aero, geometry, weight, btw:1rst tri bike

There you go!
Thanks…

I used to ride a yellow Cervelo Dual which is damn near the same thing at the 2sl is now.
I loved it. I really like the vision bars as they were very comfortable and the bike also fit me very well.
The ultegra worked flawlessly as always and all around the components on the bike for an “entry” level were all very much race worthy IMO and the price was outstanding for the product recieved.
I have no experience with that transition.
Fit is obviously the most important thing, as everyone here will tell you.
I have a fondness of the yellow aluminum cervelo’s though. I absolutely loved mine.

thanks for the output.

Anyone else?
Bump…

Hey, I’m riding an 07 Transition expert (the silver one). I love it. I have a fairly long torso and short legs, so the compact geometry affords me some nice standover height. She rides like a caddy. It’s been especially nice because the roads where I live are so terrible (Missouri has one of the largest highway/roadway systems in the union and one of the smallest budgets, the maintenance funds of which were never allocated to the northeast quadrant for the last 5 years except for highway 63, which isn’t a very good place to ride).

Geometry is definitely an issue your body. I highly recommend dumping the money into a bike fitting. I made the mistake of buying the whole package at the start, then modifying during a rigorous fitting 9 months later. I could have put the vision bars on and my current saddle, etc first time through which would have saved me 3 saddles and and a set of bars. I think it’s safe to say the cervelo is a bit more aero, but if you are in a better position on the specialized, it’s the way to go.

I wouldn’t ask for cervelo comparo’s on this board too often. Not because they aren’t helpful, but because you will ALWAYS hear “rides good, cost was great for the amount of product, and sub-9 and hed disc rub.” I think all of those are great qualities…except the rubbing (sub-9 isn’t a problem on the transition-nudge nudge).

Thanks for the info, The only thing is I’m the complete opposite of you. I have very long legs 37 inseam with a xtra small torso 59-60cm. That’s why I doubt the sloppy geometry of the specialized.
