Hey just signed up for the forum, after laughing my ass off last night at work from some of the comments on this board (particularly the guy who got attacked by a seal.). 20-24 age grouper from south florida. Also first question while I’m here. Would it be wiser buying a pair of hed stingers, or just a disc for the rear? Assuming a college student with a decent budget that barely can put in over 150 miles a week due to work/school and wants to get his sprint tri bike time under 27minutes(under optimal conditions) without excessive training time in the saddle. And my introduction cant be complete without some bike porn… Thanks!
 ..assuming this works.
26’ for 20km?..hmmmm…so you want to go 29mph for 20km…AND run decently off the bike? or do you care about running at all?
because 26’ for 20km, you add a slow 19’ for 5k and a 10’ for 750m and this is a 55’ sprint.
what part of south florida? under 26min bike split for a sprint tri eh? this must really be achieved under optimal conditions… do a renn disc, great bang for the money… 26min??? wow
Did the tubie/disc-cover combo end up having better value/performance then say a renn disc? Justed edited the 26 to 27 minutes sorry for the confusion, i wish i was that fast. Im from Coral Springs.
Took me 4 months to finish. I bought the frame on closeout from all3sports for 550. I got lucky on alot of the parts, i bought the hed bars used for 200, and i bought the mavic brakes for 20 bucks. My jaw dropped when i saw them online for 180. Guy from j-town bikes in west palm beach florida really helped me out. Other then that i just saved up working at my lame gatehouse security job.
Its powering my tv which i put in my closet, I have yet to find a way to get power in my closet in a more aesthetically pleasing way. However without the tv in the middle of my room it allows me to put my bike there, which is nice. I’ve thought about changing the cord but the heavyduty construction orange is growing on me.
