Heidi Klum for New Balance fitness line

Personally, I for one prefer to look good when I work out. YVMV.

Curious, how do you evaluate this? By the mirror? By the comments you receive? Can one not look good in ratty clothes? Does one always look good in expensive fashion fitness clothes? What does “looking good” even mean? Who sets the standard? You? Society? Your 5% body fat personal trainer? Interesting questions that I am directly toward the ominous “you” not just you, trackie.

I think I look good when I feel confident. Be it workout clothing or a dress. If something doesn’t fit me properly or I don’t feel comfortable in it, I won’t look good. Working out for me is hair back, sport’s bra, tank top, shorts, shoes and extra deodorant. Don’t need anything else.

My question- is there absolutely anything functional about a running skirt?

They are all over the place where I live and when I have asked women why they wear them I have been told “It covers my fat bum” or “I don’t like people being able to see my bum” so for me, the skirt is all about self-esteem and women wanting to cover up, more so than it is looking cute. In fact, I do believe the idea was thought up of a woman who wanted to cover her bum, not look cute.

Also, I think the comment are on the mark about this being marketed to women who are already skinny or women who really, really want to be skinny. Sorry but strappy tops and booty shorts don’t look good on most women so why companies are pushing those is beyond me. I don’t look like a supermodel and dress as one only reminds me of mutton dressed as lamb. If anything, doesn’t this make the larger girls feel even worse? Sport’s wear goes up to L and I can’t see many overweight ladies even being able to get into half the stuff they push, let alone it being comfortable and making them feel good about working out.

And ditto to the umbro shorts and t-shirts! I’d kill for a pair of umbros right now!!
