Heel Spur

Well, after months of heel pain, doing stretches, wearing orthotics, using rollers, etc. I finally broke down and went to a Podiatrist. He took X-rays and said I had a heel spur in my right heel. So, I got the big, hairy needle as well as some ultrasound. Hope I did the right thing by getting the shot. Too late now if I didn’t though.

I feel your pain…One of my bilateral spurs kept me from running for three months last fall. It acted up after a heavy couple of months of running in “performance trainer” shoes. I’ve since switched back to a much more supportive (and heavier) shoe, which has helped, but I’ve yet to ramp up my long run past 10 miles.

Good luck with the ultrasound…let us know if it helps…I have a feeling that might be in my future…
