friend of mine loves his, but can you find one?
I would love to have put one on my bike to match my HED3 front wheel (opted for a Renn instead). Someone commented here that R & A Cycles had them in stock (http://www.racycles.com/eq/catalog/hed_3_disc_1817709.htm).

That was me that said racycles had some in stock (at the time). Would have to contact them to see if there are still a few around.
I can’t really comment on mine too much cause it’s the only disc I have ridden and have only had it ready to use for the last 2-3 months. I ride it with a Hed 3 up front as well. I think the issue with it was that it was hard to keep them within a suitable tolerance, but I believe Hed once told me that only shipped ones that met their criteria. Phil at RA will check the trueness if it’s a concern.
Again I’m still coming to terms with my new setup. Just raced it in HI for a 2:30 split and it was pretty windy. I can say I love the look of the rig though!
Can’t quite make up my mind on this one, at the moment I think it looks wierd rather than funky.
I have onbe that I am currently ridding and I have no problems with it. It is true with no wobbles (which was the problem with some of the 3D diskd). I have used Corima disks (both the tubular and the clincher) The older Renn disk, an Extreme Disk and a Hed Standard disk. It works up to par with all of them, but the quality of it is closest to the Corima. It isnt the lightest disk, but you don’t buy a disk for weight savings, you buy it for aeroness. John Cobb has said back in 2002 (and this is a direct quote from Velonews)
“Our wind tunnel tests show the 3D Disc is way faster than flat discs. It is also faster than the Mavic, but not nearly so much - maybe eight percent, because the Mavic is also somewhat lens-shaped. The Mavic is pretty good anyway.”
Hed dont produce these wheels anymore either, so what you find will be limited or have to go secondhand!

R&A Cycles still has a bunch of them
