Looking to purchase a set at the end of the year for Road Racing/Crits and add a Powertap. These will be race only wheels. Speaking to Tim at HED, he claims that with the depth and structural carbon, that these wheels would be fine for a 185-190lb sprinter type. I am a little worried due to the rear only having 24 spokes. Again, Tim seems to be very comfortable with me on these wheels and says that the 500-600 sets they have sent out recently, not one has come back. He also says they have quite a few 220lb guys on them.
So, real world experience…how do you like your Stingers?
