HED Jet vs. Ksyrium Elites

Looking for new wheels (clinchers) and deciding between HED Jets (most likely 60s) and Ksyrium Elites. Not looking for a strictly racing wheel. Any advice would be appreciated. I weigh about 205, and am confident in the Elites for that weight, but can’t seem to get any information on the Jet’s for heavier riders. Thanks.

The Jets are quite bombproof in my experience. I had a set of them on my road bike. They will be heavier than the Kysriums and unless you’re also looking for a race wheel, the Kysriums might be the better choice IMHO.

The only annoying thing about the Jets is that the carbon fairings would fill up with water if you get caught in the rain. Solved by drilling small holes on the outer circumference of the fairing.

Kysrium SSL’s are pretty much bombproof, light, fast

or go Open pro 28h - DT 14/15g - King or DT Swiss hubs
.

agreed about the bomb proof. ive hit so much crap with those.

Kyseriums…I use both the SSL’s and Elites for training.

I can’t imagine them to ever need trueing.

What do you want, speed or bombing. If it is flat out speed, the HED Jets, if it is climbing and turning, then the Ksyriums.
