Hed Jet Plus rear combo - going skinny up front

So I got a great deal on a HED jet plus disc, the new 25mm width. I have an old HED Jet 60/90 combo but they are pre-C2 the 19mm width.

Do I loose any advantage if I pair the old 60 with the new plus rear? Or should I look to match the plus with the same rim width up front?

Let me know what you think or have experienced. Thanks,

THe answr is: it depends.

if you’re a fast rider at low yaw, you wont be losing out. the new wheels only really outperform the last generation at higher yaws of above ten degrees. if you spend alot of time at 10-15 degrees, then yes, you might lose some time. not alot, though.

be sure to run a narrow tyre up fron though.

Buy a skinny tire for the front and you will be fine.
