Hed H3 vs Jet 90 for the front...?

Can someone give me a real world comparison of these two as front wheels?

I know the H3 is slightly (20g) heavier and that Hed only recommends the Jet 90 for flat, non-technical courses for people who “know what they’re doing”. But, is it really that bad - especially compared to the H3?

Comparisons of handling in various wind conditions, durability, etc. would be appreciated.

For reference, I’m 185lb and ride a Cervelo Dual with the stock Wolf TT fork.

Thanks.

Steve

I asked exactly the same question back in the winter. A guy from Hed told me that hands down go with a Hed 3. He said in almost every application it would be faster.

I own a Hed-3 and was more or less looking for an excuse to buy a new front wheel to go with my disc. The Hed guy did not give me any reason to go with a Jet-90 so I’m sticking with my battered Hed-3 front.

i am 150lbs and on the jet 90 front, disk rear, and love it. the only time i could even “feel” the wind we had 25-30mph cross-wind gusts, and it was not an issue at all.

I have never rode an H3 but have a Jet 90 that I use for races. I rode IMAZ last year and it was about as windy as it gets (before you would stop or couldn’t ride anymore) and I thought it was fine, I am 200lbs, so about the same as you.

In the fork you have, the Stinger is probably faster. I don’t know why the HED folks don’t ask you about that, but they certainly should.
