Does anyone have info (or an educated guess) on the benefits of a FR Stinger 6 versus a standard Stinger 6? Over a 40k TT? Or IM?
I will beat many of you to the punch and say one benefit is a lighter wallet…
I would say that there are no real speed differences. I would rather have standard spokes than ti spokes from a stiffness standpoint. Also, I have had conversations with guys at Hed Re: ceramic bearings. They like the standard ones. I think the FR upgrade is more a marketing thing to keep up with high zoot Zipp stuff. Standard hed gear is no BS gear that works.

FWIW, this year’s Flamme Rouge is simply the Standard C2 of last year with Ceramics. The standard C2 this year is lacking Ti spokes and Scandium alloy rim that the 2008 had. So buy 2008’s:)
