I purchased a Stinger 9 that has a bump in the wheel well. So if I tried to glue a tire on the wheel it would would have a bump.
Called HED and they told me no problem and would replace. They were going to send me a call tag. I think that is what they called it. Which would include a shipping label to send back.
Nothing shows up. Call a week later and they appologize and tell me they will send it right out. Again does not show up in email.
So just called again and get a guy name Paul. He tells me to just take it to a UPS store. I am like well then I will have to pay for shipping. He is like so. Then he ask me if I tried to file the bump down. They already told me they were going to replace. They had told me this twice. Then he asked me if I have tried to take it to a bike store.
I told him I paid good money and want it replaced. He then tells me that he does not have any around. I will probably have to wait a while to get it replaced. I originally sent them pictures and he then ask me if I can send him pictures of it.
He finally tells me that he is going to send me a “call tag” or something tag so that “he can get rid of me”.
Wow! I have purchased a bunch of things from HED and they have always been incredible to deal with. But this call was ridiculous. Maybe Paul was just having a bad day.
I assume his name was Paul as that is the email address he wanted me to use.
I guess I am a little anal but if I am going to pay top dollar for something I expect it to be perfect or close to it. Otherwise replace with one that is. I don’t think I was out of line asking for a replacement. Either did the first two CSRs.
