Hed Clip Lite Pads

I know we have discussed the pads that come on the integrated Hed bar, but what is your opinion on the comfort of the Pads that come standard on the Hed Clip Lites?

I just got a set, and I haven’t installed them yet but they definitely have less cushion than the pads on my Syntace SL’s that they will be replacing. Has anyone replaced the pads with an aftermarket set? Do any of the other aerobar makers have pads with the same bolt pattern?

I could not get comfy on these pads after using the syntace ones. I got some profile (f19?) replacement pads at bike shop ($10-$15) and put them one the HED Clip-lites. Fit fine, and are much kinder to the arms.

The ‘hole pattern’ looks like it will work. I will give the originals a try, but I’m not sure how my bony forearms are going to feel about several hours on them. Thanks Gar.

Mark,

I did not switch the cups, just glue, (or use the velcro sticky stuff that comes with them) the new pads down to the carbon HED cups. If you use the profile cups, you will lose the cool factor of the HED carbon cups. Most shops carry the replacement kits with the cups **or just the pads. **

Yup, there are some round profile pads that are thicker, and cushier. you can velcro them right on the existing carbon armrests (on the round armrests for the full on bars) . I don’t know about the clip on armrests, but the above photo looks prety promising. -

I just bought clip lite sbends, tried them and pads are uncomfortable. I ordered some profile f19 armpads, it looks like they will work. I will try to give you an update when i get them, may not til late next week.
