try veloplugs and rox rim tape- i have had good success with several HED wheels with this method. However- my JET 60- does not seem to like it for some reason… so i switched to velox type rim tape

Do you mean tape over the velolugs? Isn’t that kind of redundant redundant? :wink:
Yes- it’s sort of redundant (HED holes are slightly big for velox plugs)… so it adds extra protection- and only weighs about 8 grams on a 18 spoke wheel- versus 15 grams for velox :slight_smile:

It sounds really ghetto but use electrical tape

I completely forgot I did that to a wheel once. I was in a hurry and didn’t have any velo tape so I used that. I then proceeded to forget about that and rode the wheel for 2yrs. I only realized I used tape when I changed my tire 2 weeks ago
