Does anyone have any thoughts on the Hed clincher disc. Anything positive or negative would be great. Also, what front tire would be recommended with it.
I run a HED clincher disc and a FP 60 on the front. Love it. Been very pleased with the performance of the two.
I have one and am very pleased with it. I also have a Renn disc and have had both Zipp 900 and Sub-9 discs – so I have basis for comparison. The HED is my favorite. It’s basically a conventionally-spoked wheel with a carbon cover … therefore it has the ride characteristics of a conventional wheel. It doesn’t seem as flexy, laterally, but seems more compliant, vertically, which makes for a more comfortable ride and better handling. I can’t speak to how fast it is versus the others because I started using it at the same time I started using a Jet 90 C2 on the front and a new 3T Funda fork … but the three of them together led to a whole string of personal bests in my races over the last half of last year. My Hed Jet disc is NOT a C2. I’d love it if it was, but it wouldn’t fit in my P3C.
Don’t understand why you’re asking about a front “tire” with a rear disc. As for the front wheel, as I said, I went with a Jet 90 C2 which seems to be completely amazing.

That is a great wheel combination.
Yeah. Ran a du 2 weeks ago and got to use these as a combo for the first time during a race. It was pouring down rain and still came off first on the bike. Very hilly course and was surprisingly able to power through the hills without issue.
Thanks for the input. Meant to say front wheel, not tire. As for the last post I guess your combination worked pretty well on a hilly course. I am asking this due to the fact that the Half I am doing this year is a little hilly.
