after looking on the hed website and seeing that the stingers have a weight recommendation, do the alps have something similar? i’m 215 right now, but hoping to be around 190-195 by race season…am i going to be ok on a set of alps for racing?
You could call / email Hed and ask them. They do have a blurb on their website that they can make their wheels with more spokes for heavier riders. I think they call them EX wheels or something like that and I think all their wheels can be built this way.
I should have added- if these are just for racing I am sure you will be fine with the standard wheels.
i saw the EX thing after i picked up a set of regular wheels for a great price…i think all they do is add a couple spokes on the front and back…?
I think a couple of more spokes, and maybe bigger spokes. I am sure they can do what ever you think you need. My guess is you will be just fine on the regular wheels.
