Anyone out there train on Hed Alps? I have an opportunity to purchase a pair at a very reasonable price.
Yes, I love mine. I bought them used as well. That said, I race on them. You own Zipps and I see limited value to you training on them in this part of the world.
Bryan, you’re right. The Zipps stay in the wheel bags until race day. But…I thought with the Heds costing about half what they go for retail…well, you get the picture…maybe I just need to take a breath and think this one through. Thanks for the sobering advice.
If you buy them and then realize you do not want them, there is a pretty good resale market for them. At worst you would turn a profit. Additionally, if you kept them you would own a cheap insurance policy for your Zipps.
Sorry to flip flop, but both sides of the equation have merit.
