Hed Aerobars vs Oval Concept Bars

Are they different? Do the Oval A900 Carbon Aerobars have a better (more upturn/more area) hand hold than the Heds? Any difference in the arm pad adjusments?

I have seen the Heds…but feel I would like more of a hand hold…for winding fast down hills.

There’s no problem with the HED one piece carbon for downhill or riding in road position. They’re very comfortable and the brake levers are actually great for control (nice n short). You’ll find the HED bars com with carbon fibre elbow cups and have improved brake levers (slightly curved).

Hey Shaun,

Are you trying to place the quoted message underneath your reply? I think that messes up the editor and places the whole message in between the “reply” lines. Try putting the quoted message in first, then your reply underneath…

I had the opportunity several weeks ago to compare the two side by side, both of them sitting on the desk in front of me - there were several differences. The Ovals had a slight drop while the HEDs were flat, the Ovals did have a slighty longer hand hold area, and the Oval armrests had more room for maneuverability. I haven’t tried either on a bike, but from my limited study of the two I preferred the Ovals.
