HED 3 Clincher or Tubular?

Anybody have experience with these? Any insight would be appreciated, thank you. I haven’t decided which.

I have used Hed3c tubulars since 2005 and they work great.Don’t be intimidated with tubulars tires.Hed3c are great I have used them in different combinations front and rear,hed3 front and disc rear,or hed3 rear and stinger50 front. I do alot of different courses.

I ride clincher, but then again I’m a pussy who’s afraid to flat a tubbie because it’s $50 to replace and there’s glue and stuff haha

I went with the tubulars. This was my first tubular experience, and for me the decision was made because the tubulars are 350 grams (over 3/4 lb) lighter than the clinchers, and with tubulars not approved by the ST Tire and Rubber police, good deals can be had in the classifieds. I learned to glue them thanks to good info and videos on the net.

I’ve found the tubulars to be very fast, and I am very happy with them with one exception - the carbon braking surface sucks. I mean really sucks bad. Eats up the brake pads, and not all that impressive with stopping power. Otherwise they are great.
