Does anyone know if HED is releasing a new version of the HED 3 Carbon and branding it under the name of Carbonlite. Per Triathlete’s buyer guide there seems to be a difference. HED’s UK website is under construction and the USA site seems to be the same as the 2004 models.
Also per Triathlete’s buyer guide they say there due in MAY… That makes me think they are different then last years Carbons.
Also, when using deep rimmed “race” wheels, do you keep the valve extenders attached? Or do you only need one?
There are some around…got one last year from Nytro… as a demo…one of the employees there had ridden it at Coure’d’alene. Sweet wheel, all carbon rim, no aluminum…a bit lighter then the regular version…but not by much.
carbonlite is just the UK label for our carbon brake surfaced wheels. No difference between H3c and H3 carbonlite except our UK importer is mad for labels and likes new ones every year or two. Nothing against him though, he is a great guy anyways.
The new 90 and new disc are still in prototype stage.
