The ones on the Keene climb? About 50 some odd people sit there on the left side of the road…silent as a ninja in the night…kind of odd. I remember thinking - “Wow, all of them people - and not a peep from them”. So, as I get right infront center of them - they go NUTS* *pounding on drums, blowing horns, screaming, yelling and jumping around…scared the shit out of me. I had to laugh as they just went bonkers…so over the hill I go…about 45 seconds later I hear the mess of drums again…the next guy behind me I am sure…shitting his pants…I bust out every time I think about that.
Then there were the 5 girls showing their boobies on the apex of the climb…“You deserve to climb these mountains” is all they said…nice.
Oh, and what year was all the X-Rated porn all over the bike? Was that 2001? I think only the women were upset about that.

I remember seeing some of the porn on the last climb in 2001 at LP (basically, someone just tacked up some nudie photos on a couple of roadside signs. Whoop de do.)
At IM WI last year some jokesters painted over the arrows painted on the ground telling you which way to turn. Crazy kids.
There were a couple pissed off woman at IMLP that year…and that damn run at Moo was weird at best…9000 turns, back alley runs, across the lot, over the hill and through the woods…
Yeah, that run course was crazy. I actually made a wrong turn (made a U-turn where I should have kept going) around mile 12. My brain was already baked from the heat, and I ran back a half mile before I realized my screw up. So I ran about 27 miles last year.
Give me 13.1 miles straight out and 13.1 back any day.
