The question isn’t really how Larsen rides (fast!) but how he runs.
I would guess that the mysterious prediction is about SL’s run time and I for one am very interested in seeing a good, solid run.

Heard an amazing predicition today, from someone who ought to know, regarding next weekends Vineman 1/2 IM. If you are there, and assuming all goes well (one never knows when it comes to racing), be ready to be impressed. Will not say more so as to not jinx it.
Frank
so Frank,
what was this amazing prediction and did it come true?
Maybe it was Bell’s performance. I’m impressed!
I’m also curious about what the rumor really was, though.
well, it came true but not as exactly predicted. Larsen expected to do the 3:50. Not a true test of Larsen at Hawaii though as he was only running to avoid injury. Dissecting this would be easier if the splits were available.
Amazing race by Bell, another person to put into the “gotta watch” category in Hawaii this year. Should be a great race.
2 Luke Bell Boulder, CO 24 M 1 –
Finish 3:50:56.9
1 Steve Larsen Davis, CA 33 M 2 –
Finish 3:54:16.4
