Good week for me. I actually (finally) committed to this by starting a psuedo weight watchers plan (been on WW in the past and it has worked well so using the same concepts this time, just not paying for the service). It’s basically the same as what Lauren suggested except a bit more structured. Bottom line, it works for me.
Tony - that’s an amazing week! Wow!!! You just might convince me to get back on WW too.
I’m only down 1 lb this week to 160. A little disappointed since this was the “water weight” that I thought I had gained last week. I’m still messing with the 159 goal. I see it briefly during the week, but it’s never there when I weigh in on Monday.
Wonderful job Tony! Sometimes it’s good to have a little more structure. Especially when getting a lifestyle change jump-started. Within 6 weeks I’m sure that eating right will be second nature and your weight loss goals will be within reach
Dawn- Why do you think I do my weigh-ins on Tuesday! I need an extra day to lose the weekend salt. Weighing in after a 1:15 trainer ride is also encouraging.
I’ll officially check-in tomorrow. Week was okay. My training hours are steadily going up so that will help, I’m sure.
Stuck in neutral for the last couple of weeks. Still at 238, 7 lbs down, 13 to go. Training limited this week due to strained back (which also means more snacking). Still haven’t put anything back on, so I’m looking at that as a positive. Should have a good training month otherwise as work is much mellower this time of year (also got new bike, always good for motivation). Great job everyone!
Jodi - that’s a good idea about weighing in on Tuesday. I actually think that Monday might be my highest weight of the week.
Great job everyone and thanks for the support! It’s nice to see everyone posting here. Time to turn up the heat on this challenge. My initial deadline is 12/31 which is only 8 weeks away. I need 10 more lbs in 8 weeks. I’m ramping up my running this week (per Desert Dude’s thread last week) so I still think I can reach that deadline.
Anyone else got a deadline for the end of the year?
I do also. I need another 10 lbs but I’m not to worried if I dont get there if im a little heavier since I’ve only been training ~6 hours a week, and Im ramping up training on 1/1.
