I love running with music, but I can’t seem to find any good headphones. I can’t use the kind that fit over the ear or behind the head; they won’t stay in even standing still, let alone running and sweating. I usually wear the kind that go over the head, but even they fall out when I really get going unless I’m wearing a hat. I know this is trivial compared to some technical bike question, but I just got back from a run during which I spent the whole time trying to keep my headphones in my ears. I’ve had it!
There is no such thing. People forget there are tiny heads out there…hence the name, Tinynoggin. I have the same problem and have found no solution. I will keep a close eye on this post to see if anyone out there can help us!! I have to go into the children’s section for many things, is there such a thing as children’s headphones?
Give the girl some advice, for !@$@#% sake!
I have had it with people swerving all over the road trying to adjust their headphones…
Maybe you should opt for a closed system, that will also give you the added benefit of some weight training for your neck muscles. Plus you get extra style points with the retro gouches.
I, too, was unable to keep the headphones on, but I have found a solution. Sweatband over the headphones; like we used to wear headbands over the ears. Looks stupid, but I’ll sacrifice my good looks for good music on a long run any day!
my wife uses the ones that are an earbud type with a stiff ear shaped wire that can be tucked behind the ear. she tried a few and likes these.
i have a nike mp3 (a year+ old) and it came with great headphones - you can order them separately and use them with any brand mp3/radio you want … they never fall out and are great they are called the PSAflight - there are a bunch of new versions but those look cool and suck … the PSAflight which is the older version … is the only one that is small enough … stays in place … and has worked for me - i also got a couple of extra pair on ebay … like i said not the new ones - those suck
My son works for a very large eletronics retail store. He was trained the other day in the use a setup of SHURE brand earphones. Since he has all the electronic toys you could ever want, he didn’t need the earphones that SHURE gave to him, so he shipped them to me for FREE!!! They are $180 retail, come with 7 different sets of ear pieces. 3 sizes of 2 different materials, and one set of foam. I’ve been using them with my XBox…WOW…they are completely awesome. The music sounds great and when you get shot in a “first person” game…shit…it sounds so real you can feel it!!
BTW…these are the cheapest ones SHURE makes…the others are upwards of $400 a set.
