Hydrophobic material without flotation. IF it floats they can’t use it. It helps shield their bike/run clothes during the swim.
who is testing whether those “wetsuits” don’t float? it seems kind of silly that there is a no wetsuit rule and then everyone puts on what looks like wetsuits minus the arms and below the knee.
The race organizers test them. They throw them in a thing of water, if they sink they are legal, if they float they are not. I read something online during last years Ironman.
