I have it, and am glad I do. Accessing/adjusting the rear brake is a fairly major PIA.
It’s not so much adjusting for different rim width (which I don’t have to, since I throw a disk cover on my PT wheel), but it just makes it soooo much easier to dial in proper braking, making sure nothing rubs while climbing, that sorta thing.
It’s absolutely essential. The rear brake is darned near cosmetic only. If you use training wheels that are different from your racing wheels, you’ll have differing amounts of flex and will need to alter your brake width. I found out that my disc and my P4 frame didn’t get along as I was negotiating a steep climb in a race two weekends ago. Had I not had the ability to adjust the brake while racing, my race would have been ruined. I strongly suggest you install it.
