Just got back online after some serious trekking in Asia. It was a pain in the ass to get a VPN working…
What did I miss?? Anything?

Awesome HAHA!!!
Updates please. Work, ladies, guns etc.
Yeah ok…
I got this gig teaching here in Jinan, I work about 20 hours a week and maye the equivalent of about 2500usd a month (less than I made in the US) but I get a free place to live and the cost of living here is so cheap it would melt your brain. So really the pay is great.
Starting on feb 1 I have start a ne job so im moving to Xian and will get paid about twice what I make now and I will be in charge of a large amount of schools in the SOuth and west of china, lots of travel (paid for by the company). So im excited about that,
THe quality of living here is amazing, like I said, things are very affordable and the pay is good, hours are short.
Training is great in some respects but sucks in others, there is a closed loop of road that is exactly 40km that was used for some big provencial olympic type games a few years ago and I came up with a decent TT rig, so I rip the 40k about 3 times a week and am happy to report that im keeping it under an hour.
I spent some time in Bhutan and The Xinjiange provence of China and did some trekking on very old sections of the great wall. Right now is the week of the Chiense New year so im off to Beijing on friday for the big time party so thats exciting. Bullet trains are cool and cheap, 300km an hour and smooth as silk.
Ladies are here, they love Americans but you have to be careful, the traditions are very different and things can be interpreted wrong so it pays to not rush into things.
I am happy to report too that in the several countries I have been to, Nobody seems to dislike Americans, in fact, they tend to dislike Aussies and Canadians. So go AMERICA!!!.
No guns here, I really miss that…bad…I want some guns so bad.
Nice. Bhutan is someplace I really want to visit!
Pricey but well worth it, Ill be going back to do the “snowman” trek. Its supposed to be one of the best, if not THE best trek in the world.
Cool recap. glad things worked out with your passport/visa so you could go over
