It’s a behind the saddle bottle cage holder from Nashbar. It sort of reminds me of the HED “tails” back in the day… (1989-90). I really liked those things, but they were a bitch to take on or off. Mine finally broke after many prying’s getting them on or off. These seem like they might work similarlly. The “body” of it looks plastic, which may not be so good. Anyway, they’re 4 bucks! I ordered a pair, just to see. My X-lab super-tall airfoil pillar of water bottles is getting on my nerves.

. . . I’ve never seen these before. I’d been using the profile seat-post rack, but just got my Softride this winter and got a used Minoura since I have to have a saddle-rail mount.
Hell, for $4 each I might score a pair next time I order from NBar and see how they are.

They works fine. But very limited adjustments options.
I used one back in about '92 (and still have it somewhere). If I remember it put the bottle at a funny angle on a Flite saddle.
Does it mount to the saddle rail or seatpost clamp?
I used one in the late 90’s and it worked fine. I misplaced it after getting a cheap deal on the x-lab saddlewing. The saddlewing looks cool but is far too heavy and does not work with the current saddle that I use now. I ended up picking up a minoura at a race expo. I really like the simple design of the one above and might replace the minoura with it for $4.
