Thanks all. I have to pick out my 2005 race and was hoping this could be it. Also,can you normaly get IMLP on the day after the race on-line?
I’ve just heard rumors, but that would be a great location. Then again, where are they going to do the swim, the James River? That would be nasty! It would beat the hell out of Wilmington, NC that’s for sure (more rumors)!
The Colonial 1/2 Marathon starts and ends at William and Mary College. That’s my favorite 1/2 Marathon. I ran it every year when I was stationed at Marine Corps Security Force Battalion, in Norfolk, years ago. The scenery in that area is killer. I trained for my 1st marathon at the Yorktown Battle Field. That was awesome (I’m a history nut). I really miss living in the Tidewater / VA Beach area, but not the traffic.

I think this was going to be a 1/2 ironman but the race was moved to Florida. Hampton Roads would be a great place for an ironman event. I hope it happens some day.

Did you check out the link? By thway USMC active 1978-1982 Hon Discharge Sgt. Most of my tour was at Iwakuni. I am origanally from Cleveland and was a Civil war history nut. My wife is from the west coast(Oregon)I would love to take her to that area. In fact for an IM it would be a great vacation spot for the family.
