Friday is here! I am going to drink some beer and so a half marathon on friday. I am going to work real hard at the beer drinking thing though!

It is with a heavy heart that I raise my glass tonight. Please join me in honoring Mr. Michael Jackson, the premeir beer historian and writer of our day. He passed away of a heart attach in his home last night. I’m breaking out a 1997 Chimay Red I’ve been saving for a special occasion. No better tribute to a man who has taught me so much over the past 20 years about beer and brewing.

It won’t be long before the snow starts. They had a dusting recently and may get something next week. PBR??? That’s not beer!
Sad news, indeed. I and some other friends doing the 10th annual 10L Challenge in Bamberg, DE, in a few weeks will tip a few in his honor. I enjoyed reading his reviews of the breweries in Franconia and will miss his writings.
Yeah, it’s too bad that the Michael Jackson who doesn’t suck has passed away.
