Who won?
It is amazing indeed that Daniel Unger from Mengen, Germany finally brought home the first Elite World Championship. He grew up about 15 km from me and I met him when he was 15 years old and already was an amazing athlete. We rode mountain bikes together and even though I was still “fast” at the time he made me work like crazy.
Congrats also to Simon Whitfield, he is awesome indeed and will now go back to the Olympics next year.

Been here in Hamburg all week. Just an amazing tri fest! Wathing on triathlon.org may have been cool, but watching these guys smoke by inches from your face is beyond description. Just totally amazing and incredibly inspiring!
Congrats to all the Team USA participants. Great show!
