Any thoughts on the Halo Swim Training System? Advertised to give you high elbow catch, proper stroke path, and at race pace tempo. My swimming is poor and wonder if $349 would be worth the investment.
website?
My second thought is if your spending $350 wouldn’t it be better to hire a coach? Someone who can actually eyeball your stroke and make modifications in technique?
Tried it out in september. If you can find a good coach and get some lessons i think it would help more. Works ok but if you get someone to watch while using stretch chords to make sure your elbows are up you can save some$$
I thought this had something to do with a video game.
Now that would be cool.
Methinks this could be counterproductive. The platform will provide support to your upper arm that is not present in the water. If it was available free at a gym I’m sure I’d play with it, but it’s way too expensive for this boy’s taste. You could cut a pseudo-teardrop out of plywood, cover it with some smooth plastic or heavy fabric, bolt it to a garage-sale weight bench, and get there for $50. (Maybe that’s what one of their prototypes looks like. ![]()
After checking out the website, I would hire a coach to help impove my stroke. Sorry no shortcuts in technique improvement in swimming.
