As a side note to the HalfMax race, the Tour of Missouri (Pro Stage Race) is going on during the same week as the USAT Nationals. The day before the Tour of Missouri will be finishing in Columbia, MO. (about hour west of Innsbrook). On Saturday (Day of the Halfmax), the race will be finishing in Historic downstown St. Charles, Missouri (possibly on the brick streets), which means that it could be that as the HalfMax bike is going on, the Peloton of the Tour of Missouri would be only about 15 miles south of Innsbrook (depending on the start times). Then on Sunday the final stage will be going on in St. Louis. The rumor mill is that a couple of big Pro teams could be there with a few cyclists of note getting ready for Worlds, but nothing has been released. I will only be a week out from IM Wisconsin, so I won’t be racing Halfmax this year, but wanted to show up and watch, but also want to watch the tour.
So September 15th 7:30am is race start for Half-Max
September 16th 8:00am is race start for Club Championships.
Jeff City to St. Charles for the Tour is the 15th. Will be curious on what time they are going to start and what exactly the route is going to be. If they stay North of HWY 70 there are not many hills to speak of once they get out of the Ozark area.
They hit downtown St. Louis for the last day which is a circuit race. Once again I hope that starts later in the day.
