how many half marys shall i do before steelhead which is end of july. Is it ok to do one in first week of april and one in last week of may? Any thoughts?
If you are serious about your training, you can “train through” an HM probably once every 4-6 weeks. By this, I mean run it no faster than marathon race pace.
If you want to actually race a half, i wouldn’t do it more than once every 4 months. They can beat you up pretty bad and impact your training because of time needed to recover.
