Half Mary in 8 weeks

Hi.!

I’m planning a half mary in 8 weeks just to try never run more than 13 k. I can run 16.20-16.30 on a 5 k but I have really no stamina… I run 30-40 k a week, last month only 20 because of some really high intensity work preparing for a Asprint…!
Really hope somebody can help me with this, I need to beat my dad (1.20-1.22)…!

At this point, I’d go with the day of race tactic of hanging with your dad the entire way, and then trying to scoot ahead right at the end. :wink:

If your dad runs at a 1:20 pace, you’ll be going nearly 30 seconds per K slower than your 5 K pace.
