Hmmm… Well I have noticed lately how hot my first-cousin is…

In a few states one can marry a same sex cousin!!!

So, in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont, I can gay marry my gay cousin, and in Texas, I can marry my cousin, but not if he’s gay?

truly a thing of beauty.

Ah, the link is blocked at work so is therefore coming in as a Red X on the forum.

Must be because your employer thinks your cousin is hot, and doesn’t want you to know that she’s available

Well DUH. We need to, you know, protect the children from the devastating effects of having same sex parents. But inbreeding? That’s awesome for tehir health and well-being :stuck_out_tongue:

SAVE THE FAMILIES! (even if they each have an extra eye and uncle grandpa can’t keep his hands off cousin sister lucille).

The risk of birth defects for first cousins are only slightly higher than a random couple, approximately the same as for a woman over 40 giving birth. Second cousins are hardly a risk at all. There are many famous examples of cousin marriage.

This really only becomes a problem in populations where large numbers practice cousin marraige generation after generation.

Oh man.

I think there’s a population in England with that problem. The culture encourages marriage of cousins and now after several generations they have elevated risk of all sorts of unusual diseases.

You’re talking about the Royal Family right? We’re hoping Kate Middleton is going to freshen up the gene pool a bit!

Damn!!!
You were faster than me or more accurately I was slower/lazier than you since I saw earlier today and was thinking about posting it here in the LR!
